I should preface this article by furthering the old time adage “never talk politics and religion.” My coworker and I got into an incredibly heated discussion on whether increasing the minimum wage is a good thing or bad thing for our province/country. We discussed something else that totally blew my mind at the possible state of our system (media, education and how we get information to the masses) and how people could be so misinformed but so grounded in their own mindset. Because of this, I wanted to do an article discussing both sides of the argument, and either further cement my feelings (for increases to minimum wage), or to better understand those that are against it.
