I've played and know for sure Numbr9 is a very good game, especially for casual gamers. Unsure about Unearth, but I really like the box art and game description. Two different game modes, as dwarves you are digging underground, trying to open exotic areas and earning gems. . Downforce. Always thought this game looked fun and was happily proven correct. Betting game with cards, very little luck/RNG and conflict. . Mai-Star. Competing geishas trying to get as many guests as possible. I've been playing #terraformingmars on Steam and thought after winning four straight matches that my friends were in trouble next game night: NOPE 🤣🤣🤣 That's me in last place. If I had to analyze the match: - I picked a corporation that doesn't suit my playstyle and chose a plant&token strategy that didn't work - the city-building corporation is always a top tier corporation to pick - but certain cards (Zeppelins) can make use of that - money generating cards/strategies is very strong - the Hellion corporation that generates heat is a very strong corporation too (that player won) Despite losing, it's good to see other strategies in action AND my written rules were very well done. #boardgames #tabletop #strategy #scifi @strongholdgames
In no particular order: Unfair - I have a definite soft spot for theme park games. Only drawback is the strong take-that mechanic. There is currently a Kickstarter for an expansion that is unfortunately delayed. Terraforming Mars - strong and multiple strategies. No game will be the same. Got this on Steam as well to practice. Have one of the board expansions. Looking for a player board overlay. Monster Lands - meeple placement with viking theme. TONS of components. Extremely fun. Ways to mitigate RNG. Zombicide - have yet to play with others but very proud of my paint job. Suburbia - collector's edition to come this fall. Very excited. Tough game. Castles of Mad King Ludwig - first game I ever purchased in the app store. Worth every penny. Ended up buying the physical game a few days after. Tile placement, auction mechanic and designing your own castle. Clank! - a group favorite. Quick to learn, many different strategies, no game will be the same. I have the mummy and underwater expansions. Queendomino - easy to pick up, hard to master. Very little conflict. Quick games. Kingdom Builder - similar to Queendomino in that it is super easy to learn.
